After finishing the latest of the
cookie murders over Christmas break, I was looking for a new cozy mystery series and stumbled upon
Leslie Meier, author of the holiday mysteries. The protagonist, Lucy Stone, is similar to many other cozy mystery heroines (spunky, immune to danger, too curious for her own good), but she is also a bit different from the other ones I have been reading lately as instead of juggling a beau or two she is juggling a husband and a growing family. Which is a somewhat refreshing change. I find the holiday murders to be entertaining and engaging, and enjoy catching up with the recurring characters and townsfolk.
